About Us
Finding light in the darkest of places...
Raised by Witches is an Alt rock blog like no other. Focusing on female and queer alternative artist, we aim to cover up and coming music and topics as well as sharing incite and guidance on reader favourite topics such as witch craft, astrology and queer taboo topics. And above all we always promise to deliver an honest opinion and a bloody good read!
Our Story
This page was created by Leah, a singer song-writer and all round lover of music. After leaving A-levels she decided to continue education at ACM Guildford studying vocals on creative route. During her first year she lost touch with her love for print and writing but luckily chose to do music journalism as her elective. She fell deeply back in love with writing and even after passing her elective, continued to write about gigs and music; posting them here. As the page has grown Raised by Witches have been known to show their faces at many grass root gigs around Guildford and Reading as well as bigger venue shows and festivals in London. Since then they have been reviewing bands all over the south east and have been recognised by several artists including Nova Twins, Crawlers and Bex. Their hope is that they can continue to grow this blog as a safe space for females, non-binary and basically anyone other people that need a platform to find new music everyone can all enjoy.
